Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 1, 2026

This policy describes what happens to information when you read ilgiustomezzo.it, a magazine on lifestyle, wellbeing and culture. The operator is the person or organisation that runs the magazine, and every “we” in these paragraphs points back to that one party.

Visit logs

When a page is requested, the hosting server writes a short log entry. It can show your IP address, the time, the page opened, your browser and mobile device or computer type, and the page that sent you here. We use logs to keep the magazine online, find faults and notice abusive traffic, which is our legitimate interest in running a secure site. We also glance at them in broad terms to see which articles are opened.

Cookies and similar technology

The site may set small files or use browser storage that help pages display and work properly. No further tracking is described here. If the site ever adds analytics, advertising or affiliate tracking, this policy will be updated first and consent requested where the law requires it.

What your browser lets you do

You can block or delete cookies, browse privately or add tracking protection. If your browser sends a do-not-track or global privacy signal, we will honour it as an opt-out wherever our setup allows. Some features may look different when storage is blocked.

Taking back your consent

Where we rely on your consent for anything, you may withdraw it whenever you like. The Cookie Policy page linked in the footer explains the steps, and withdrawing does not affect what was done before.

Emails and forms

When you write to [email protected], we receive your address and whatever you choose to tell us. We use it to answer you, fix an article or keep a record of the exchange, because you asked us to respond. Please do not share health records or other sensitive details. We do not sell messages and will not quote you publicly without asking.

Newsletter

If a newsletter or sign-up form is offered, we will use the address you enter only to send what you subscribed to, on the basis of your consent. Each issue will say how to unsubscribe, and you can also ask by email.

Outside services

Running ilgiustomezzo.it relies on outside providers such as web hosting and content delivery. If the site ever adds embedded videos, maps, social posts, analytics or affiliate networks, those providers could receive technical details about your visit under their own privacy notices. We use them because the magazine cannot be delivered without them.

How long data stays

Server logs are kept for a short period before deletion or reduction to anonymous totals. Emails stay only while useful for replying, correcting an article or meeting a legal duty, and are then deleted.

Asking about your data

Depending on where you live, you may ask what personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or erased, limit or object to certain uses, and receive a copy. Send your request to [email protected] and say what you want. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we will answer within the period the law sets.

Complaints

If you feel your data has been mishandled, you can complain to your local data protection authority if you are in the EU, EEA or UK, such as the Garante in Italy, or to the OAIC if you are in Australia. You may go straight to a regulator without writing to the magazine first, although an email to us is often the quickest way to fix a simple mistake.

Younger readers

Ilgiustomezzo covers adult themes like work-life balance and cultural life, and ilgiustomezzo.it is not meant for anyone under 13. We do not seek out a child’s personal details. If a parent finds that a child has sent a message through the site, they can email us, name the message, and we will delete it.

Keeping information safe

The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and the inbox is protected by a private login limited to the operator. Because wellbeing topics can be personal, we collect no more than a message needs. Storing anything online carries some risk, so a guarantee of complete protection would be an overstatement.

Data crossing borders

Our providers may handle data in countries other than your own, where the rules can differ. Where the law requires safeguards for such transfers, we choose providers that offer them.

Updates to this policy

We will revise this policy when the magazine or the law changes. The effective date above shows the current version, and significant changes will be flagged on the site.

Complaints and consent

You may take back any consent you gave us at any point; what happened before stays lawful. Our Cookie Policy page sets out which cookies are used and how to change your mind about them. Not satisfied with our answer? In the EU, EEA and UK you may complain to your data protection authority (the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK); in Australia, to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
